Murray v Federer For A Change

We are nearly at the end of 2012 Wimbledon. So far, it has been an exciting game with many surprises.  The last three gram slam men final was between Nadal and Djokovic , but this time around it is Murray who is playing against Federer. Federer will be looking to get his hand on 17th gram slam title on Sunday while Murray is seeking for his first.
While the whole British will be solidly behind Murray, he will have to do something extraordinary to beat the sensational Roger Federer. I will have to give it to Roger Federer as long as he put up the same performance as he did against the World no1 “ Novak Djokovic”.  Federer played his best game against Novak, particular his serve. He probably served more aces against Novak than all his previous matches on this tournament added together.
Consistency will be my only advice for Murray……I mean keeping up with Federer and if possible go stay ahead. It will be tough but have seen Murray come out on top playing against big players. So it wouldn’t be straight forward for Roger considering how Murray played against Tsonga in semi-final.
Good luck to the both players!!!!

Sharapova Grunting couldn't save her in Wimbledon

One of the loudest players on court, the world number one in the ladies tennis game is dumped out of Wimbledon by Lisicki. It is indeed another big upset as she was named as one of the favourite players to win the title after claiming the French Open.

Nadal Dumped Out Of Wimbledon By Unknown

In French Open, it was Serena Williams who was eliminated in the first round and many thought it was the biggest upset of the year. But it is not as big as Rafael Nadal exit in Wimbledon after being trashed by the men number 100 seed “Lukas Rosol” of Czech Republic.
I was not surprised after watching Nadal's game in the first grass court tournament of the year, but I expected him to go further than second round at least. Really shocking! Better luck next year.
In my opinion if there is anyone who should benefit immensely from Nadal’s exit it is Federer. Federer will any day prefer to play Djokovic than Nadal. Rather than having two obstacles, it is now one, which is Djokovic.
Can Federer utilize this opportunity and make his gram slam title 17 in number? Or is it now guaranteed gram slams defend for Djokovic? Or perhaps a chance for Andy Murray to make the British proud and win his first gram slam?
Time shall tell! Let’s hope there are no more surprises as we all want to see great finals.

The Game is Served

Once again, we are back to another Tennis Gram Slam. This time around, it's the big grass court tournament “Wimbledon”. I believe it is going to be fascinating and that we will see extra ordinary matches between the big players.
To be honest with you, I still can predict who the men’s or women’s champion is going to be. We would have to wait and see how they all get on with their first matches. Good Luck to all the players!!

For now enjoy the opening matches. Some of the big players are on court, including Djokovic and Federer, so enjoy!!

Time to learn running before the Olympics

There is still time to learn running before the Olympics.....And you can only learn from the master "Usain Bolt"

An Appetizer Before Wimbledon

While we wait for Wimbledon to begin........Enjoy the highlight of 2011 Men final between Nadal and Djokovic.

Anger on Tennis court can cause evil

If you were watching the Queen’s final between David Nalbandian of Argentina and Marian Cilic of Croatia you would be surprise at what not controlling your anger can cause you when you least expect disappointment. Nalbandian was leading a set up when he suddenly dropped a set in the second set and reacted to that by slamming his right foot into a wooden advertising board which disintegrated and got officer Andrew McDougall left leg injured.

After long discussions among tournament and ATP officers decision was ruled against him even though he was leading in the match.

A lesson to all sport men and women.....It could be you next time!!

Nadal Not Gripping On Grass

The French Open Champion Rafael Nadal’s preparations for Wimbledon were put to stop when he was dumped out of the Halle Open by Philipp Kohlschreiber. Unlike clay court where Nadal is the king, grass is not his favourite surface. Losing to the world number 34 in men tennis does imply Nadal’s transition from clay court to grass court needs some more work.
The men number two seed would need more preparation if he is to defeat Novak Djokovic who is defending his title in Wimbledon. Yes, he has beaten him in the last three meetings, but we have to remember it was on Nadal’s favourite surface.  I think the only proof that Nadal has overcome the days of Djokovic defeat is to beat him on hardcore and grass court.
Looking forward to the Wimbledon already.

Slowly Into The Grass Court Season

The grass court season is back. Starting the AEGON championship, a warm-up tournament before the big one “Wimbledon”. Grass courts are the fastest type of courts in common use and tend to favor fast servers like Roger Federer.  All the big names are in the warm-up, including Tsonga, Murray. We hope to see great matches on this surface

The return of Maria Sharapova

Congratulations to M Sharapova for completing her gram slam title collection. It is victory well deserved. She was consistence through out the tournament. Sara Errani was amazing for the whole tournament....she will go far with such performance, better luch next time.

With three titles already this year Maria sharapova looks to be back playing good tennis and she has regained the number one seed in women tennis. I hope to see good tennis going into the grass surface.

French Open & Olympics

There are couple of upcoming sport events around Europe this summer, including the Olympics in London and French open (Roland Garros).  Let’s hear your opinion in any game of your choice and interest.

I am so much looking forward to the French Open, which is just around the corner. It is going to be fascinating; particularly the men Tennis, where the top seed ‘Novak Djokovic’ is chasing four straight gram slams in a row and the only gram slam he is yet to win.

The Men number 1 player was almost invisible last year winning a total of 70 matches with only 6 loses. Although the Serbian top seed is not looking impeccable so far this year haven loss   two master’s finals to Rafael Nadal, I still count him as one of the favourites to win the French Open.

Rafael Nadal on the other hand is difficult to beat when he is playing this good and on his favourite surface “Clay”.  I strongly believe his two recent wins against Novak Djokovic will boost his metal believe and could win the title for the 7th times.

It is hard to speak about Tennis without mentioning Roger Federer. The All time greatest player can pose a threat to any player. However, he has not been able to stay error free; hence he has not won any gram slam in recent years.

The ladies Tennis will be discussed on this blog, but before then, let me hear your take on French Open 2012  and the olympics
